The most delicate Chinese teas

The most delicate Chinese teas are White teas. The tea leaves are  oxidized only about 5%  and have very little caffeine.

The harvest lasts only two weeks in early spring.

There are two types of White teas: the youngest downy tea buds and downy tea buds mixed with mature tea leaves.

There  are only two stages in the processing: withering and sorting.

Leopard Snow Buds tea is made of  youngest downy tea bud of great delicacy. The tea leaves are  picked between 3:30 and 7:00 am when the dew is heavy, then gently steamed.  You can see the full buds with downy hairs. The leaves are fluffy and light.

It is very important to use enough leaves  to make a good cup of tea. For one cup of tea put 2 teaspoons of Leopard Snow Buds. Water should be 170 F , steeping time 90 seconds to 2 minutes.  You can do up to three re-infusions, using hotter water and increasing steeping time each time.

The liquor is light, sweet, fresh and vegetal.

Very gentle and tender tea without aftertaste.

This tea  will give you very subtle uplift.
