Rooibos Slush

Rooibos is high in antioxidants. The antioxidants help to fight free radicals. The polyphenols in Rooibos have anti-inflammatory properties and help safeguard against heart disease.

 3 tablespoon Bourbon Street Vanilla Rooibos

1 cup orange juice 

3 -1/2 cups water

1 cup lemonade

1/2 cup sugar or honey

Steep Rooibos tea in boiling water for 5-7 minutes. Add sugar, let cool. Mix orange juice and lemonade. Add to cooled Rooibos tea. The tea should be concentrated because it will lose some sweetness and flavor after freezing. Steep and let the brewed tea sit for a while. Freeze for three-four hours or overnight. Once frozen, shave tea slush into glass or use high speed blender. Add sparkling water if needed.1 cup lemonade

You can also make Rooibos Popsicles with this recipe. Add some fruits and freeze it in popsicle molds. It is caffeine free and children will love it!
