Key Lime Tea

I think my title says it all. Not a fan of this one. There is almost no lime or other citrus notes in the raw tea. The smell does remind me a bit of pine, which is interesting, but only very, very faint citrus. Upon brewing, what little citrus there was, disappeared, and I was left with a tea that was a little more bitter than your average black tea. I tried it twice on two different occasions to make sure I just wasn't in a bad mood the first time I tried it, and I hated it both times. Would not recommend!

One other complaint, which doesn't enter into my star rating, is that the packing on 2 of the 3 samples I ordered was defective. Opening it caused the "zip-lock" thingy to pull away from the pouch, so that the pouch couldn't be resealed. It may have been due to heatwaves that have been plaguing the nation, but it is something to watch out for.

We had found key lime tea at Kermit’s Key Lime Pie shop on one of many visits to Key West. On our last visit, Kermit’s no longer sells the tea and we were searching for something similar. And now we’ve found it! Will definitely be ordering more! It really does taste like Key West!

I will share this tea with my tea drinking friends. It's very refreshing and I like to add sugar to enhance the flavor. It reminds me of Key West and all of the key lime eats and drinks there.
