How to Brew Genmaicha Extra Green

A blend of Matcha and Genmaicha has been popular for decades in Japan as everyday tea. But there are a variety of quality. Our  exceptional blend uses a tea ceremony grade of Matcha and  quality Genmaicha with well-roasted brown rice, called Genmai.  Obviously, ours has very aromatic, flavorful and bright green cup comparing with other Genmaicha with  Matcha. Genmaicha is a flavorful blend of  Green Bancha (second flush of Sencha harvested between summer and fall)  with Genmai - roasted and popped grains of brown rice. This  is a very aromatic tea. The Matcha contributes its natural sweetness to the full nutty flavor of the Genmaicha. Bright green liquid with light and fresh natural sweetness. The rice adds a nutty taste and roasted aroma.

Brewing instructions

Water: 4oz boilded Leaves: 2 grams or 1 rounded teaspoonSteep: 30 sec  2nd Cup: Water Boiled; Steep 15 sec

As you know Matcha does not dissolve in the brewing water but is in a suspension. You can certainly make a second cup with all of our Genmacha Extra Green. Your first cup will likely contain more Matcha than the second and consequently will be sweeter. The second cup will have more Genmacha flavor and is still a wonderful cup of tea.
